PHILOSOPHY & PROCESS
What to Expect
Each translation is considered a personal project. I work closely with clients to understand and address the details of their specific project, and client confidentiality is always a priority.
The translation process includes:
Initial meeting to discuss project details and objectives.
Contract outlining scope, cost, and deliverables.
Review and research of the text to be translated
Creation of a glossary with project-specific terminology
1-2 rounds of edits as outlined in the contract.
Final translated document delivered electronically

Rates
Project rates are based on word count of the original text to be translated, edited, or proofread.
Do you have ongoing translation needs, but not enough to support an in-house staff person? Reduce your time writing contracts and scopes and hire me on a retainer basis instead.
MY STORY
Daniela Viljoen
Language is my passion.
I hold a degree in Applied Linguistics with an emphasis in Language Teaching. I have taught at the primary, secondary, and university levels, and built my own boutique language services business. In 2019, I returned home to the US after 20 years in Latin America to pursue new opportunities and to expand my teaching and translation services.
